 The Sakura Science Exchange Program is a student exchange program, that is an effort by the government of Japan, coordinated by the Japan Science and Technology (JST) Agency, to encourage interaction between Japanese and international students. This program gives students an opportunity to learn about Japanese science, technology and culture through a period of residency in Japan, where they participate in a variety of activities.A group of nine MS students along with two of our faculty members, Professor Susan and Professor Miran participated in the program. Md. Tusar Uddin won the ‘Best Poster Award’ at the two-day international conference on Materials Science and Nano-electrochemistry held at Rajshahi University on April 8-9, 2017. 11 members attended the conference, with 6 oral presentations and 2 poster presentations. Professor Dr. Md. Abu Bin Hasan Susan was a keynote speaker at the conference.
