Joy Basak’s project work involved the investigation of physicochemical properties of pure protic ionic liquids (diethylmethylammonium trifluoroacetate and N-methylpyrrolidinium trifluoroacetate) and double salt protic ionic liquids by varying the composition of component pure protic ionic liquids. At present, he is doing his MS thesis work which is a continuation of his project work. He has made a
different series of DSPILs varying anion. Currently he is investigating the changes in both physicochemical and electrochemical properties of DSPILs due to the variation of cation or anion.
