Mahfuzul Hoque obtained his BS and MS degrees from Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka. For his undergraduate project, he worked on synthesis and characterization of Fe@Au core@shell nanoparticles with tunable optical properties using microemulsion-based nanoreactors. His objective was to design nanostructures to prepare core@shell nanoparticles with tunable optical properties for technological applications. For his MS thesis he worked on the versatility of reverse microemulsion based nanoreactors for synthesis of Fe@Au core@shell nanoparticles with tunable optical properties. He tried to establish reverse microemulsions as versatile templates for the synthesis of Fe@Au core@shell nanoparticles by consecutive variation of the size controlling and operating parameters and present a correlative picture about how they can control their optical properties.
