Marjanul Manjum obtained her B.Sc and M.Sc degrees from Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka. For her undergraduate project she worked on electrodeposition of Al from reverse microemulsions of CTAB. She carried out electrodeposition of aluminium from reverse microemulsions and investigated the influence of different parameters on the morphology of the deposits. For her M.Sc thesis, she worked on electrodeposition of binary and ternary alloys of AlNiCo from reverse microemulsions of CTAB. She tried to establish a novel, convenient and efficient method to codeposit AlNi, AlCo, NiCo and AlNiCo from reverse micelles on CuE and correlate deposit morphology with the different concentration ratio of aluminium (III), nickel (II), cobalt (II) and with other parameters. Her ultimate goal was to make prospective use of the alloys for technologically important applications such as magnetic storage devices.
