Tamanna Ishrat Farhana carried out her undergraduate research on the study of electrochemical oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in aqueous media. Her MS thesis work was based on degradation of an organic dye by electrogenerated reactive oxygen species (ROS) in aqueous media. Her aim in this work was to use the ROS generated by oxygen reduction reaction for the degradation of methylene blue. The ORR was studied at glassy carbon, platinum, copper and nickel electrodes in O2 – saturated acidic solution using sweep voltammetric techniques at static and rotating electrodes.
